A homemade sunscreen
Sunscreen for an all day protection!
In fact sunscreen protection is necessary all year round. But we usually get more serious about this issue when the first heat starts and summer comes.
Although it is well known and commonly accepted that no substance or preparation can substitute the essential and essential physical protection offered by shading and covering the body with clothes, hats and glasses, there is always the need for more protection with sunscreen.
Here we will see how we can make our sunscreen alone, saving money, but also having a sure and natural effect.
As the basis of the product we use mineral raw materials, vegetable oils and herbal extracts .
The ingredients for the sunscreen
30 gr sesame oil
30 gr of sunflower oil
20 grams of avocado oil
15 gr beeswax
20 gr aloe gel
100 gr of lavender flower
35 g of zinc oxide
60 drops of grape seed extract fruit
Beeswax is a natural emulsifier that helps to mix fatty and aqueous ingredients. Grapefruit seed extract fruit works antimicrobial, preventing the growth of microorganisms and prolonging the shelf life of the preparation.

Method
Weigh or measure the materials as accurately as possible .
As a first step, it is good to sterilize all the dishes you will use to avoid the growth of microorganisms. Boiling sterilization (10-15 minutes) is one of the most common and effective methods of sterilization.
Cut the candle into small pieces and put it in a glass utensil along with the vegetable oil ( sesame oil , sunflower oil , oil avocado ).
Place the glass vessel in a deep stainless steel vessel, add the stainless dish small amount of water and put on a stovetop adjusting the temperature low (bain marie ).
When the candle melts completely, remove the pot from the fire, add the zinc oxide, stir well let the mixture cool down for sometime until its temperature reaches 35-40ºC.
For safety reasons add zinc oxide to the mixture while wearing a protective mask to avoid particle inhalation.
In a second pot mix rosewater, gel aloe and the extract seeds grape fruit and add to the original mix stirring continuously with a small blender for about one minute.
The mixture begins to be homogeneous cream. Continue to stir for 4-5 minutes with a spatula until the cream starts to cool.
Empty the cream in one or more jars and write for each one a label with the ingredients and the date of preparation.
Your cream will have an average shelf life of 6 months if kept in a shady, cool place.
Most of the materials can be purchased from herbal stores, health food stores, or a store of organic products. Some more specific ingredients such as zinc oxide or lavender flower water can be found at cosmetics stores.
The preparation of sunscreen it takes about an hour and has a small degree of difficulty. The cream has a SPF 20-25 protection indicator .
