Crushed Heels: Causes & Treatment by Natural Method

Crushed Heels: Causes & Treatment by Natural Method

For many women (and perhaps fewer men), broken heels are a constant symptom of summer. The problem is naturally unattractive, but, much more so, it is also a health issue as cracks created in advanced dry skin can be contaminated by fungi or bacteria.

Let's look at the key factors that lead to broken heels and then to their natural healing.

I know the causes, I prevent the problem

Poor or defective diet. Let us not be impressed that what we consume or not affects the issue of our feet. In particular, it is dehydration that causes problems in the balance of our skin. That is why it is suggested to increase the consumption of water, juices, fruits and vegetables, as well as limiting caffeine and alcohol as they are components that contribute more to the elimination of fluids from our body.

Stand & Weight. Long standing and vigorous walking - features of many seasonal jobs in the summer - can also cause heel problems. As our body weight falls solely on our feet for many hours, the fat layer on our feet is depressed, creating cracking and cracking.

In cases where the person is overweight the problem may be more severe.

Shoes. You will surely have found it yourself that shoes play a big role in this problem. Closed anatomical shoes are generally recommended to avoid hard heels.

Also, no matter how good your sandals, sandals or flip-flops are, your feet will sooner or later harden, especially if you go out all summer with such footwear. Similarly, barefoot walking, no matter how enjoyable it is, helps to harden our feet.

Heredity. Another factor, which even seems not to be easily saved, is heredity. If there are such features in your family then the best thing to do is to take your steps in time so as not to let the paws harden.

Με δυο λόγια, τι μπορούμε να κάνουμε για να αποφύγουμε τις σκασμένες πατούσες;

- Frequent foot care - Using a rasp, blade or pumice stone in the bathroom & scrub at regular intervals

- Moisturizing Cream - Apply creams (especially those containing urea and salicylic acid) daily for hydration and exfoliation.

- Suitable anatomical shoes - Consult your doctor or pediatrician for the right choice of footwear for you.

- Consume plenty of water, liquids and foods rich in omega 3, 6 or 9 - For proper hydration of your body and skin.

In case the cracked heels have already appeared

1st Step

First of all you need to cleanse your skin of unnecessary cells. Peeling.

Mix equal amount of olive oil and sugar. Preferably the brown is found in larger and harder granules. Rub the mixture gently on our feet for 10-15΄, emphasizing the particularly dry areas of our feet. Olive oil hydrates and softens the skin, while sugar scratches dead cells from our skin.

After rubbing, rinse your feet with cold water and wipe them thoroughly.

2d Step

Our next move is to soften the skin of our feet. Foot bath.

In a bowl of lukewarm water, add a teaspoon of baking soda and stir until completely dissolved. Leave our feet in the water for about 20 minutes. The foot bath will relieve swelling of the feet.

3d Step

Our skin now needs to get back to its normal elasticity. Hydration.

In wet heels apply a little petroleum jelly and put on a nylon sachet or transparent film (if you can stand it) and then a pair of cotton socks. Allow to act all night and in the morning, after washing our feet well with petroleum jelly, then apply moisturizing cream.
