Hemorrhoids - Causes, Symptoms and Prevention

Hemorrhoids - Causes, Symptoms and Prevention

One in three people will be called upon to face this unpleasant condition of hemorrhoidopathy in his life. Percentages, according to scientists, are elicited between 45 and 65 years of age. How hemorrhoids are stimulated and what can we do to deal with this problem?

The normal hemorrhoids are not a disease, but a part of our body that contributes to the mechanism of temperance. More specifically, it contributes in the better sealing of the rectum and in the control of excrement. When hemorrhoids are irritated and swollen, they become pathological, causing unpleasant symptoms.

The main symptoms of hemorrhoidopathy are pain in the anal region, bleeding, mucus secretion, irritation, itching, asymptomatic or painful swelling and feeling of incompetence.

According to the general surgeon - anthropologist, Dimitris Mousifolis, to the factors leading to their irritation are:

  • Chronic constipation and staying in the toilet for more than 5 minutes, usually due to diet low in fiber.

  • Obesity and sedentary life, or lack of physical exercise in other words.

  • Increased intra-abdominal pressure term, especially during pregnancy, or people who perform heavy work.

  • Hereditary disposition

  • Prolonged standing

What foods should we consume in order to prevent hemorrhoids from becoming pathological? The goal is normal defecation, and it depends on nutrition and timely evacuation. We therefore enrich by including to our meals the following:

Beans (and Blacksmiths)

Kiwi

Braun rice

Corn

Whole-grain products

Avocado

Oatmeal

Raspberry

Pears

Broccoli

Almonds

Of course, physical exercise and walking, in addition to the enrichment of our diet with fiber, and these contribute significantly to the reduction of constipation and thus irritation reduction of our hemorrhoids.
