Birthday is a special day for everyone. And if for some it may fall a bit 'heavy' the cake from the candles that accumulate, let's focus on the sweet, and set up a beautiful question mark (?) in the place of the candles ...
In any case, whether we celebrate our birthday or not, we want the cake to be a protagonist. Below you will find a recipe for vegan tastes, which on the face will even convince the less vegan of the company to honor it.
If your birthday is still far, try it without a candle!
Chocolate cake with peanut butter
Ingredients
2 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
3/4 cups of sweet cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup vegan butter (melted)
2 tbl. flax seed powder
1 cup of almond milk
1 tsp. mallowido
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup instant coffee
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup vegan butter (in solid form)
1/8 cup of agave syrup
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190° C.
- Beat the eggplant in a bowl of almond milk and vinegar until they become a single blend.
- Separately, in another bowl we put melted butter, vanilla, coffee and linseed, and beat them to blend well.
- Sift the flour, baking soda, soda, salt and cocoa together.
- Add the sugar to the flour mixture.
- Pour the liquid mixtures into the solid and tap with the mixer to bind the materials well.
- When your mixture becomes uniform and the sugar has melted well, place it in a deep pan, or in two shallow, to make two coats.
- Whisk your pot on a hard surface to break any bubbles trapped in your mix.
- Bake for 40-50 'at 190 ° C. Try with a knife in the center of the cake to make sure it is cooked well. If it comes out clean the knife is ready!
- Let it cool down.
For the buttercream
- Stir in the mixer the peanut butter, the vegan butter the compact and the agave syrup, until all of them soften and become a beautiful compact mix.
- Place it in the 10-15 'refrigerator to tighten.
- When the cake has cooled down, cut it horizontally or use the two surfaces that you have already cooked separately.
- Pour half the amount of buttermilk on the underside, carefully put the second layer of cake and spread the rest in the buttercake on top.
- Decorate your cake with chocolate syrup, peanut pieces, chocolate chip or whatever else makes you mood!
