Alternative therapies for cough and sore throat

Alternative therapies for cough and sore throat

Two of the summer symptoms due to the necessary 'accessory' of the season, the air conditioners, are cough and sore throat.

The sudden changes in temperature in the space we are moving, as well as the frozen air that can strike us for hours, cause some common symptoms.

Cough indicates irritation to the throat or bronchi and may be accompanied by some illness. In addition, coughing is basically a reflex of cleaning or defending the body to expel particles or anything else causing irritation. Before attempting to heal, the cause of it must be found and treated.

The sore throat is associated with the presence of a condition. Whether it's a simple cold, sore throat or a serious infection. It can of course be caused by a burdensome atmosphere with a lot of smoke, or if we are yelling loudly, for example. Only when the discomfort persists means there is a virus or bacterium. Pain in swallowing is one of the most common and first signs of colds.

Of course, we must know that the sore throat may be a sign of more serious infections, such as infectious mononucleosis, or even simpler ones, but for which we must see our doctor.

Here we will see some alternative treatments for each of these symptoms, given that of course we have exhausted the margins to find the causes that cause these symptoms.

Cough

Phytotherapy. Dry cough consists of some herbs that relieve inflammation of mucous membranes by covering it with a membrane. The algae, the mallow, the puff and the nugget are part of this category of herbs. Extractive herbs such as licorice, eucalyptus and silver pine are used for liquid cough.

Aromatherapy. Inhalations with essential oils of eucalyptus, thyme or cypress are already a well-known method. Do not forget, the ratio to get the desired result is 2-3 drops in a bowl of hot water for 10 ', three times a day. Great care when using the mix by children! Accidents with hot water are often reported.

The garlic consists of gargle with a solution of these essential oils, namely, 3 drops of each in half a glass of water.

Physiotherapy. Here is emphasis on nutrition. They consist of raw vegetables and fresh fruits, alternating with a fasting day, as well as a reduction in dairy and sugar. Beneficial is the lemon juice with honey, as well as the scrum oil capsules, in particular, from 2 capsules three times a day.

Sore throat

Phytotherapy. Here, a wide variety of anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, emollient and astringent herbs can be combined and used for gargles when the sore throat occurs. For example, prepare a mixture for gargles with raspberry, walnut, and flower buds. Leave them in the water for a long time and make gargles three times a day.

Aromatherapy. Thyme, geranium, tea tree, lavender and peppermint are among the essential oils that have a positive effect on the throat. They are taken from the mouth (in a spoon, 2 drops with some honey) or in gargles (2 drops diluted in water). Even with massage we can intervene in the neck and neck, based on almond oil and 2 drops of essential oils.

Physicopathy. The main weapon of nutrition is the detoxification and temporary discontinuation of dairy consumption. At the same time, it is beneficial to include citrus fruits rich in vitamin C as well as garlic to fight the infection. Occasionally, gargles can be given by injecting thyme and sage.
