Japan, Mexico and India in your dish!
Three "delicious" gastronomic destinations
Local cuisine is always a demand for anyone who goes on holiday, whether it's domestic or foreign destination. An integrated holiday experience should include, as far as possible, a faithful rendition of traditional cuisine.
Traditional dishes are more than just a tasty and quality quest. It is the 'open book' of each place, each culture, each society. It is the story of the raw materials, the manner and level of life, influences, track and sample of each culture.
Japanese cuisine
It is a cuisine rich in rice, seafood and fresh vegetables. Because of a long isolation period that lived on the island of Japan, all kinds of influences were left out of the border. And of course, gastronomic influences included. Their traditional cuisine, also known as Washoku, is characterized by mild and slim, but no indifferent flavors. Of course, 'Wa' stands for Japan and 'shoku' for food.
Since 2013, Washoku has been included among the monuments of Unesco intangible world cultural heritage. But 'marrying' it with tradition is not just about cooking, but also about collecting and exploiting raw materials, as well as responsible consumption of naturalresources . Yes, responsible consumption of thousands of years, a perception that is just starting to blur on the horizon of western society ...
A visitor to Japan can taste traditional dishes in restaurants curated traditional gastronomy, the benches around the Buddhist temples and Sydow and can do Washocook courses (in English) or Chagohan, which are about tea and sake preparation.
Mexican cuisine
What a typical case of cultures mix and evolution of history is the case of Mexico!
Dishes full of colors, spicy flavors and endless combinations of materials could themselves be the occasion for an exploration of the home country of Diego Riviera, Siqueiros and Frida Kalo.
It is an ancient kitchen whose history reaches the hunters and gatherers of Maya, the Aztecs and succeeding Spanish conquerors. The tortilla a corn porridge with beans from falling rchei for hundreds of years, providing traditional food, which today, through the modernization of the kitchen has been enriched with various sauces and meats.
Castles of Mexican cuisine are none other than corn and chili peppers that give color and plenty of flavor to taste.
Indian cuisine
Another kitchen from the Asian continent with huge commercial recognition worldwide is Indian. It includes dishes full of flavors, colors and perfumes. Spices, a great exportable product of the Indians over time, could not be missing from their exotic cuisine.
Its story goes back to 5,000 years. Of course, the kitchen was then based on fruits and vegetables. Indian gastronomic history, however, radically changed over the years and under the arrival of the colonists. The Portuguese imported potato and peppers from Mexico by taking and spreading the spices of India.
Rice, chicken and vegetables are some of the predominant characteristics of Indian cuisine today.
