Homemade vegan muesli with soy yogurt

Homemade vegan muesli with soy yogurt

"In the morning eat as a king, at noon as a prince, and at night as a beggar," says a greek proverb. Scientific research has repeatedly confirmed the value of this saying, considering breakfast to be the most important meal of the day.

People who start with a rich breakfast have more energy to cope with their daily responsibilities.

In addition, it is recognized that breakfast, in combination with some snacks, helps to maintain a low weight.

However, those who follow a vegetarian diet often find it difficult to find the right foods that will replace animal derivatives. Almond milk is a good solution for those who want to avoid animal milk. But that alone is not enough if we want a full breakfast.

Soy yogurt

Soy is an integral part of the diet of the Asian people. Several studies have shown that it has contributed to the high life expectancy of some countries in the region such as Japan.

Soy protein can be a worthy substitute for dairy protein.

In addition to protein, soy can provide the body with the calcium it needs, iron and certain vitamins. Also, soy helps control cholesterol.

Most people are aware of soy milk, but there is also soy yogurt, which offers us more nutritional choices as it can be combined with fruits and cereals.

How to make homemade soy muesli

The word muesli means blend and is the discovery of a Swiss doctor who wanted to give his patients a nutritious breakfast. The muesli consists of oat flakes, nuts and fruits, which we usually put in milk or yogurt.

If you want to make a nutritious homemade muesli you have nothing but soy yogurt, assorted nuts, raisins, dried fruits (apricots, bananas, etc.) and organic oats.

To make the mixture even healthier, it is advisable to add fresh fruit. Raspberries are a choice of very high nutritional value, as they contain low calories and many vitamins and antioxidants.

All you have to do is mix the ingredients in a bowl. Just be careful not to overdo it with oats because it has enough calories.
